Not Twitching 1

Now, it's important to understand this isn't twitching. I just happened to stop somewhere that was on the way back from a work trip. More or less on the way back from a work trip. No more than about 10 miles out of my way. Tops. Since this post is being written so long after it happened it's impossible for the zero people reading this to guess which bird I mean, but there it was clearly time to write about since there's currently a Scarlet Rosefinch / Brown Grotfinch only a few hundred yards away. So no prizes for guessing Dusky Warbler at Walthamstow Reservoirs. Acted quite differently from the 4+ Chiffies also on site, whereas they were mainly playing around on top of the brambles the Dusky spent most of its time creeping along the base of the understory - which basically meant the top of the stone wall. It did occasionally fly up but quickly jumped back down.

Owl Service

Quick wander round Barnes LWC and Richmond Park. Barnes a bit dull but Richmond produced Tawny Owl (near White Lodge) and 3 calling Little Owls around the golf course.
